captainIf you've stopped by our site today to read the last info on college sports we'll assume that you do the same at other sites.  As much as we'd love to be your one-stop shop for all things sports we just can't quite crank out content at that rate.  Call us perfectionists.  Yeah, that's it.  Continuing our assumptions, we think you probably see upwards of 100 sports headlines everyday as you browse the WWL and a myriad of sports blogs across the Interwebs.  Today we wanted to mix things up a bit and show you a few headlines you won't be seeing any time soon.

Three CUSA Schools Pull In Top Ten Football Recruiting Classes

If you missed Bru's preview of this year's CUSA football season, you should take a minute to check it out.  While Bru went in depth on the talent the league does have, primarily on offense, noticeably absent are any predictions of BCS bowl contenders.  While CUSA has a few teams that would scare small-time football programs in big-time conferences (cough, Cats, cough), they're not running with the big dogs on the two deep roster anywhere.

Steven Pearl to Wed Megan Calipari

We've already minced a few words about the upcoming UK-UT rivalry in basketball this year and will likely ramp that up as the season draws nearer, but don't expect any love between the Pearl and Calipari families this year.  In fact Bruce and John had quite a tussle heating up down in Tennessee before Coach Cal came North.  No doubt that these two will be at it throughout the year, and with the recent possible recruiting steal of Selby, you can expect Bruce to be even more ready to deal the Cats a loss in TBA this year.  Hell, he might even break out an orange shirt to match the blazer and tie this year.  I just hope he doesn't come up with a pair of orange pants like a certain blogger around these parts may or may not have.

Blogger Grubby Takes Out $3M Insurance Policy On Index Fingers

I'm already tired of these stories.  First you get headlines about Tebow pulling out a two million dollar policy on himself (can't believe it's not more) and now we hear the Real Colt McCoy may be insured for $3M to $5M.  This is one of those things akin to declaring for the NBA draft.  Every ruh-tard who likes basketball has had that drunken conversation with his buddies about signing up for the draft.  For the next two years, when they get five Killian's in them, you're going to have to hear those assholes talk about how much their personal insurance policy on their knees or shoulders cost.  While I think it's genius to do this if you are a star athlete, I could care less about how much their policy is worth.  Hell, I've got a $100k policy through work but God knows I'm not worth that to anyone.  Dead or alive.

Vijay Singh Sells Remaining Captain D's Assets

Vijay fell out of the top ten in the PGA world rankings this week and let me be the first to say...AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!  Sorry, I really should get over this but for some reason I have an unnatural and (mostly) unfounded hatred for Vijay Singh.  It's almost as bad as my hatred for Captain D's, who never really did anything to me except for not being Long John Silvers.  C'mon, you know you love the chicken there.  Try the corn for an added bonus!

Lance Kiffin Unusually Quite In Media And On Recruiting Trail

No particular comment on this one.

John Calipari Doesn't Twitter For Almost 20 Minutes, Thought To Be Missing

No particular comment here either.

Steve Spurrier, Still An Asshat

Well, that goes without saying, but they probably can't print it.

And that will wrap it up folks.  Check back with us often for actual headlines and don't forget that if you see something good somewhere tip us off!  We can be reached by e-mailing stadiumdrives[at]yahoo[dot]com.
